SOUTH DAKOTA
No visit to South Dakota would be complete without a visit to Mount Rushmore. Although it is quite a sight, I was much more in awe of how they actually carved out this masterpiece, then what it acually looked like!
The Badlands of South Dakota
I "tweaked" this picture a little to accentuate the shadows on the rock formations. A walk through this a you quickly learn why this unforgiving place was named "Badlands"! A picture does not do it justice, you have to seen the vast waste land to really appreciate it.
