• Check your Dialing properties
• Try another local access number, or a 1800#
• Dial out using a telephone, if you get a fax noise (handshaking) then try a Hyper Terminal Test
• Check for Client for Microsoft Networks in Start, Settings, Control Panel, under the Network. if it is not there, then Add, Client, Add, Microsoft, OK (that will add it)
