Reflections of my Mind

Tormenting, teasing
These dark shadows
Tearing at my mind

Filling my thoughts
With terror and dread
Relentless, cruel, unkind

Are they memories
Buried deep
That slowly do unwind

Or flashes of
That yet to come
Which in time I will find

Are they demons
Who lurk and wait
To kidnap me and bind

Or are these shadows
That I see
Reflections of my mind
