Dark Light

Once there was darkness
Then came the light
Brilliant in contrast
Like day and night

Then like a storm cloud
Blocking the sun
Light overshadowed
Distant and one

Taken from sunshine
Forced in the dark
All alone but for
One single spark

From that one lone spark
Power is drawn
Making a new day
