Castle in the Clouds

I built a castle in the clouds
My favourite place to go
Up with the birds, the sun and moon
The Earth so far below

Its walls like feathers, soft as down
Protect me as I lay
As delicate as fairy-dust
Yet strong as steel they stay

I look up to the distant sky
The stars that shine above
And here inside these castle walls
My heart can truly love

I open up, expose myself
Protected from the world
Emotions, sad and happiness
Truly are unfurled

But only in my solitude
My feelings are so loud
Protected by my loneliness
My castle in the clouds
