Procedure Number: M-0009
- PREPARATION
- 1.1
- Look for a QC accepted sticker on each bin of CVC kits.
Do not package kits that have not been accepted.
- 1.2
- Check the flow chart to make sure that all components are correct
and accepted.
- 1.3
- Set the tape dispenser to deliver approximately 12 inches of tape.
Fill the resevoir with water.
- 1.4
- Prepare a stamp with the lot number.
- PACKAGING
- 2.1
- While packaging, observe the kits and shelf packs.
Remove any dirty or defective materials.
- 2.2
- Open the shelf pack to a roughly rectangular shape.
The perforations should be down.
- 2.3
- Fold the two long side flaps toward the center.
- 2.4
- Fold the two short end flaps toward the center.
- 2.5
- Dispense a piece of moistened tape. Seal across the junction of
the two end flaps.
- 2.6
- Rotate the box so that the sealed end is on the packing table.
- 2.7
- Lay ten CVC kits flat pack, lidstock side down on the table.
Lay all of the kits in the same direction, with the extra length of
label toward the perforations. The writing should be readable when
you pull the kit through the perforations.
- 2.8
- Fold the two side flaps toward the center.
- 2.9
- Fold the two end flaps toward the center.
- 2.10
- Dispense a piece of premoistened tape; then, seal the flaps
with the tape. Turn the shelf pack right-side up.
- 2.11
- Attach the label above the perforation and over the top of the
carton. Do not let the label cover the perforations.
- 2.12
- Set the completed shelf pack aside.
- 2.13
- Change the stamp to the new lot number. If two lot numbers must
be packed in the same shelf pack, stamp both lot numbers on the shelf
pack label.
- 2.14
- When the bin is full, place it in the anteroom of the clean room.
