I would like to take the pleasure in welcoming you into my domain and appreciate your interest.
Born to loving parents, I was given the name Smita, which in Sanskrit means Smile. I was brought up in the City of Destiny, as it is called, Vishakhapatnam. I grew up molding a conventional outlook towards life, owing to my parent's beliefs and thoughts, and to the atmosphere at school. Having attended one of the most liberal-minded schools, I learnt to accept the society as it was before me, and to embrace the fast pace of westernizing. It surely is a difficult task to maintain that balance.
My formative years were spent at Timpany School. After graduating from high school, I went to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University at Anantpur for my first year of Chemical Engineering, later transferred to Andhra University in my hometown. Presently I am pursuing a degree in Computer Science at Florida Atlantic University. Surely the transition from India to America was surprising to family and friends, but it was a step that was worth taking.
My family has been supportive and loving in times of joy and sorrow. My father Shri Rajagopal Siva Prasad works for Bank Of India, while my mother, Smt.Shaila Rani Prasad, is a housewife, in spite of having a Master's degree in her days. I have a brother younger to me, who had pioneered studying abroad amongst all my cousins. Aptly named Rajesh, he is now looking to have his own little business venture. Boy, how has he grown!!!
