Dr Brian Gordon Sando OAM (AD 1995),
For service to sports medicine.

Dr Sando was National President of the Australian Sports Medicine Federation (ASMF) 1989-91 and has served in numerous executive positions.

He has served as Deputy Chair, Australian Olympic Medical Committee (AOMC) since 1985 and member for 12 years.
ASMF Liaison Officer and delegate to Australian Olympic Committee since 1985.
Senior medical officer, Olympic Games 1988, 1992;
Commonwealth games 1966 and 1994.
He was medical officer, Olympic Games 1980 and 1984.

Member, SA National Football League Technical Committee since 1974 and Drug Disciplinary Tribunal 1990-92.
Head, medical panel, Adelaide Football Club since 1990.
Medical director, Norwood Football Club since 1964.
