EXAMPLES OF WORK I HAVE DONE

Here are some examples of the work I have done over the last few years. It demonstrates some of the research I have done (most of it in my own time) and the models I have created. (Obviously I cannot include client deliverables so I can only demonstrate research and models I have done.) Hopefully some of the information will be useful to others. Even though it may not be up-to-the-minute, many of the strategic principles are still as valid today as they were  few years ago.

Emerging Wireless Technologies – Which one is going to be the winner for voice ?

This is an article I wrote in February 2006 which discusses which emerging wireless technology might dominate the voice services market. It is not intended to cover every new wireless technology, but it does include potential metrics for success in emerging technology markets

Integration Drivers

Here is a mindmap of the drivers for enterprise integration - i.e. the various reasons why integration of applications within organisations and between organisations is needed

New Media Communications Roadmap

A chart I put together in 2003 to represent the various technologies and strategies for communicating using new media, categorised according to four strategic areas. Like any roadmap, it also includes an approximate timeline for when this could happen

Research Brief - Grid Computing

A document intended to provide those without any knowledge of grid computing on what it is, how it affects business, and the main vendors and sources of information

SMB Research

The results of some research I did into the Small to Medium Businesses market for possible expansion of an IT consultancy into this market

Strategy Thinking - 2001

I did a considerable amount of research into developing a new market solution for a business consultancy. It was based on technology, marketing and strategy. In my own time I then synthesised this into a framework and here are the results. This has not been changed since I wrote it in mid 2001.

Web Service Research Capsule

This document provides pretty much all the information you need to know to decide whether and how to enter in the consultancy market for web services. It was written in 2002 but little seems to have changed since that time.

I have far more examples of the work I have done. If you are interested in knowing more up-to-date information about any of these topics, then please contact me on jeepwrek@yahoo.com and I will try to help you.
