Tall Stacks comes to Cincinnati every 4 years or so. It's a celebration of the good old days of steamboats, and it lasts most of the week, with famous bands, lots of food, and thousands of people taking cruises and being entertained both on the Cincinnati, Ohio side of the Ohio River, and all along the Kentucky side as well. It's great fun, a wonderful sight to behold, and an excellent photo op!
I discovered Fractal Arts several years ago, first as a screen saver. The site has prints you can buy, screensavers to download, and even tutorials to download. I learned how to make them - they're really fascinating, and extremely gorgeous!
Someone sent me an email about the Freedom Rock in Des Moines, Iowa. It's particularly inspiring now, with all the terrorist worry and activity, and all of our men still overseas. There's a story preceding the pictures, and even a song by the artist playing in the background. Enjoy!
