After a successful Landscape Architecture career, he turned to world traveling. He has snorkeled in the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea and was inspired by their brilliant beauty. After settling in the San Francisco Bay area, he received his SCUBA diving certification and has since dived in the Sea Of Cortez, Caribbean and Philippine Seas and the Pacific Ocean Off Hawaii and California.
Saturen is a graduate of Iowa State University. Post graduate studies include life drawing classes at Toronto's Three Schools and serigraphy at California College of Arts and Crafts. He also attended technical computer classes at Santa Rosa Junior College.
Saturen regularly exhibits with the San Francisco Society of Fine Arts weekend art shows among other northern California and national venues. His artwork can be found in private and corporate collections throughout North and South America, Europe, Australia and the Far East.
