Diving with the good folks, Dave and Donna, from Tairua Dive & Fishinn, about half an hour's drive out of Thames, on the back end of coramandel. We departed at approximately 9:00am, heading for the Alderman islands, approximately 10nm off the coast. The alderman islands are a small group of islands, and a nature reserve, however the surrounding ocean is not a reserve; meaning the crays are all fair game (providing they're not undersize, of course).
Being the moral young fella' that I am, I elected to just take photos with my film camera (this was before the purchase of my digital camera). Unfortunately, this camera really likes to seize up at depths below 10m (33 feet), so alot of opportunities were missed, but hopefully this will give a fair impression of what there is around the aldies.
