Please feel free to email me, SE-Weed, with updates concerning the list below. This list is an attempt to keep track of all Known Servers - just in case. 8-) Also shown below is the metaserver list. SERVER OPERATORS: If you do not know how to find your IPaddress click here. If you have any questions about this page, please send me an email. Thanks.

Finding Your IPaddress

Latest updates:

10/5/99

Wiped the slate clean and posted all the IP addresses that I could see from last night. You'll notice that the list is much smaller, but hopefully more acccurate as to what servers are out there.

I finally added some screen shots for the WON launcher showing how to find the IP address of your favorite server.

Added a note about commenting out lines near the bottom of the page.

I'm hoping to make the rounds and update all the IPs soon. In the mean time, if you happen to notice the IPaddress of one or your more frequented servers has changed, please email me.

Corrected some typos in the addresses shown below. There was a period (.) instead of a colon (:) after the IPaddress shown.

Added some new servers, and updated the addresses of some current ones. All updates are in bold. I forgot to check the Get the Baron servers. Will try to do that soon. Also added the link above to some breif notes on finding your IPaddress.

Added Verdun 1917 Server. Gilligan's Island will now be just Gilligan's Island. He wants to change the server game and plane availability now and then to experiment and have fun.

NOTE: This list is intended to be a "masterlist." Copy it and keep it in a text file on your harddrive OR DOWNLOAD THE LIST HERE Note that this list has the metaservers commented out!

NOTE ON USING MPLAYER.INI FILES:  If you have trouble seeing servers, and have the latest client patch (2/23/99) then uncomment the lines under [MetaServer] and you should see plenty. To comment something out, see the note near the bottom.

If you are trying to connect to a server that doesn't have the latest patch cookies, then you also should not have the latest patch from 2/23/99.

IMPORTANT: If you are planning on joining a server that has a dymaically allocated IP address (IPaddress changes regularly), you should NOT have the [MetaServers] commented out. This makes it a whole lot easier to find that server, although it helps if the server op is passing the data to the meta-servers.

NOTE: This is a copy of my metaservers entry in my mplayer.ini file. The default install for this section has the rb2.east server commented out with a double slash (//). Remove those slashes or copy and paste from here. You should see all game servers broadcasting to the metaservers.

NOTE: COMMENTING OUT LINES
To comment out lines in the Mplayer.ini file, what you are effectively doing is making the line inoperative. The line will not be read by the RB3D connect software. To comment out a line, you add a semi-colon (;) to the beginning of the line. For example, the following MetaServers are commented out:

Some people like to use double slashes (//) to   comment out the lines, for example:

I really don't think it matters which you use. The important thing to remember is that the RB3D software always uses the metaservers first. If for some reason the metaservers are down and you do not have them commented out, the RB3D connect software will appear to "hang" and will not connect to anything. This is when your KnownServers list comes in handy. Comment out the metaservers in your list and then the RB3D connect software will read the IPaddresses in your KnownServers list. The connect software will then show a list of all the active servers running - provided of course, that you have the correct IPaddress in your mplayer.ini file. And this is the main reason to keep the list updated.
