This Is Tokyo
By Grahf316

Somewhere there's a city,
Where couples walk in the park.
All so very nice and pretty,
As lights glow in the dark.
For this is Tokyo.

Then, from the black waters of the bay,
Comes a creature so immense,
It shouldn't live in the light of day.
The people grow so very tense,
For this is Tokyo.

All of nature trembles in his wake,
For his power inspires a dreadful wonder.
As his step causes the ground to shake
His challenge comes on a sound of thunder.
For this is Tokyo.

The Army sounds the charge and advances
To destroy the radioactive trash.
But across his back, lightning dances,
And brave soldiers become ash.
For this is Tokyo.

There were once many people here,
Now there are only a few who know
The cause of the day's death and fear.
For He is Godzilla and,
This was Tokyo.
