Is it Love?
By Ben

From the day that I met you, I knew it was true,
that you were just different, you were something new.
I knew you were special, but don’t ask me why
when I am without you, I wish I could cry.

I think that it’s love,
I know that you’re dear.
E’en with no stars above,
I would hold you near.

But something is fright’ning, it’s not what I thought
that love would be like, I fear I’ve been caught
in a mere high school crush that will leave me too soon;
In the darkest of night, though it may be high noon.

I pray that it’s love,
I hope that you’re dear.
By the stars up above,
I wish you were near.

In the end, my dear friend, it matters no more.
What may come, it will come, as is shown in all lore.
And only the Seers at Kell know what comes,
So myself, I’ll just worry ‘bout products and sums.

I hope that it’s love,
I can just hold you dear.
By the stars up above,
I see that you’re here.
