TI 99/4a

Picture of a Ti99

Texas Instruments could use their own chips and experiences for the development of the TI99/4a. Therefore they didn't use a 6502 or Z80 as a main CPU. The computer had a bit success in the U.S.A. but wasn't very popular in the U.K. or Germany.
One curiosity: There was a PC-box for the TI 99/4a - a complete PC which could be connected to the TI. The only thing the TI got do for the PC were the keyboard inputs.
