Everyone has a soft spot for a certain character of a videogame that perhaps made it reason enough to get addicted to it, or after playing long enough get attached to that character...

Welcome to my personal list of the coolest videogame characters ever created! Many may come as a surprise but believe me... all fit perfectly!

V Mileena (MK2 ONLY!!!) V

As I said... Why her? Well, let's see... Kickass babe, long slick black hair I envy to death and her restrictions are just about as much as the extra fat in her hips... Undeniably a femme fatale and beyond doubt a real fighter. My model woman in all aspects. Ah, if only Tekken had a babe like her, if only Midway hadn't screwed up with my Mileena! How dared they do what they did with her!!
For those loyal to the Mortal Kombat legend, I denounce the rumor that Mileena's a mutant, that only serving as a sick fantasy of the MK guys of a damsel as a mate of a beast. I rest my case.

V Kazuya Mishima (Tekken) V

Woah... what can I say... You won't know until you see and trust me: a look into his eyes and you're soulbond for life!

Refraining from writing yet another essay on Kazuya Mishima, I'll stress out what's so special about him. Black hair, killer black eyes, sharp beguiling stare, black belt in karate, devoted loner, cruel, arrogant, proud, heartless and cold as snow (not ice or Subby will jump me! ...hmm, there's a thought!)

The bad boy of Tekken (well, not a boy but all the same! ^_^) coming from a wealthy family but fighting against his father to death (one more plus!) has more than swept me off my feet. Naturally and effortlessly evil, intent to fighting and destruction as it gets... About the only one out there with a solid reason for anger, certainly THE only man who thinks with his head and not with [won't say the word] and eyes that are pure murder!
...well, a lousy taste in clothes (I dislike his purple suit) but with that body...
...and that butt!

V Kunimitzu (Tekken) V

Now, why Kunimitzu? Some say she is the weakest character in Tekken 2 but the majority makes lines behind her and she has more than earned my sympathy. However you may reason this, a purple clad female ninja in a mask, figthing with knives~

...either that or she's just so adorable. I admire her muscular figure and that she doesn't show too much breasts (although she more than has to show!), that she doesn't shout like a frail woman but as a fighter... and isn't she so cute with that puppy mask? She practically has no character description so she is totally great material to use... for someone with as much imagination as me she's the perfect character to use, which I did and I regret it not! I simply love Kunimitzu and trust me: I can kick some mean butt with her!

V Shang Tsung (MK2 ONLY!) V

Okay, I admit! I'm all for the dark guys and if Shang Tsung is something, this is it! He's dark, he's a mean old bastard and he looks *good* for a dude his age! Seriously!

I don't know why everyone portrays him as some hysterical wizard of lowly personality and inferior skills - damn, someone who has succeeded so well for the past 500 years must be something or what!

I do like Shang Tsung. Although he's portrayed as a henchman to the Kahn moron, I think he's cool, wicked and purely evil. Not exactly the number one Evil Lord (I think Kazuya has secured that place!) but definitely very close up high! Plus, he kicks ass. Trust me! Then he has style, fair looks, black eyes and a fine sense of humor. Now if only he talked without the 'k' thing...

V Ryu Hayabusa (Dead or Alive) V

The ninja from Dead or Alive who walks around masked, like every ninja in every game and with a long light brown ponytail and such amazing, sparkling, brown eyes... you can be lost in them! (hope he'll take off his mask someday!) His act of disappearing at the beginning and the final victory of the battle is stunning and he has such mesmerising grace that cannot be denied.

About the only fighter who seems to have a decent character, not to mention that we share the same zodiac sign... Looking good, being a great fighter and making great sushi... Ooh, so much to hope for! Will he make me some? ^_^

V Jago (Killer Instinkt) V

Why do I like the immature Killer Instinkt ninja? Why? Because he looks good, he's wild and roars whenever he hits, he's indomitable, ferocious and tough as it gets! Not to add that his stage music is the all best... Feline to the extreme, sprightly and aggressive yet very effective... What's not to like? ^_^

V Claire Redfield (Resident Evil 2) V

No dazzling looks - no fancy moves - just tough attitude - and a grenade launcher

This is Claire Redfield, the biker dame from Resident Evil 2, younger sister of Chris Redfield. Looks like she's a tough nut herself as she does more than survive the nightmare of the zombies and, mind you, having to look after Sherry as well.
Making more damage than she gets, she has her way of storming out of hazard and even if she hasn't gained Leon's affection, she sure earned a spot in everyone else's heart! And did I mention she wears that shade of purple?

V Maxi (Soul Calibur) V

The Nunchaku fighter of Soul Calibur probably does poor job in replacing Li Long but does he look awesome! I don't know why I'm always on the side of the nasty looking ones and he's not a killer looks either but there's something about him that blares of attitude and cheek...
Reason enough I had to type a fanfic with his ranting...
Call him a pimp, as many already have, comment on his looks and clothes all you like. He's way cool and boy, does he know how to kick mean ass!
Not the way I do but surely he is some lover!

V Heishiro Mitsurugi (Soul Edge / Calibur) V

Damn, is he hot or what! Brooding over his internal conflicts, a renegade samurai AND a loner... You should see his victory dancing! Perfection, grace and power combined in lethal proportions... Now add black hair and black eyes... Is there a pattern to this? ;)

It's such a damn shame some versions have replaced Mitzurugi with some Arthur freak...

Being my strongest in Soul Edge and Calibur (so far), having beaten the game with him for the first time... what more need I say? Heishiro-san, you kick ass! And yes, again we share the same sign!!! Go Gemini!

V Chris Redfield (Resident Evil) V

Take my word. It's a LOT harder beating the game with Chris. He gets an awful scenario where you can't afford to clear the way, lest you stay out of ammo... I still recall my heartbeat at running through three dobermans and shooting some in the air... making material for ambitious storytellers for YEARS! Chris is far more rewarding to play with! Just for the scene where he hugs Jill and then to get him in his brown leather jacket was all I ever wished for!

Not to mention that this hardy SWAT officer has a perfectly trim look without being too heavy on it... Damn, he's Claire's brother! Could he be anything less than perfect?

V Zack (Dead or Alive) V

So we've had incarnations of Bruce Lee... now Denis Rodmann made it to the scenery!

Zack is the best Muai Thai fighter of all videogames, I say so sincerely, having had some experience to this art. His moves are realistic, he knows how to make a spectacle of himself and he doesn't look bad either!
I picture him loud mouthed, touchy, a bit gay on the side and hard to gain his affection. But once you do...

V Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII) V

Great Sephiroth... Where are you!!

Woah... If you're wondering why he's here, then there's nothing that can possibly explain.

Play Final Fantasy VII! Go to Nibelheim and watch him going insane in a blaze of glory! Lead him to Aeris and have him stab her with the masamune! Give him the black materia (don't neglect watching that sculpted figure!) and fight him under that great music in the northern crater to get a chance to duel him ~ shirts off!!
Great, GREAT Sephiroth! Lead us to the Reunion!!!

V M. Bison (Street Fighter) V

Another great villain, his profile in the so unjustly shunned movie is among my main reasons... A villain with an attitude. A humoring mean bastard who can kick your ass while pondering on the meaning of life! Plus... he has some attractiveness on him, doesn't he? He's a bad boy afterall!

V Victor Sagat (Street Fighter) V

I can imagine Sagat spitting his throat out for being listed right below Bison! The movie inspired me towards him again. I don't like him, he's bald, has a patch over his eye... but he's one of the best gangsters I've ever seen! And I like his quarrels with Bison...
I also think he's got a thing for Vega... but who am I to tell! ~_^

V Vega (Street Fighter) V

I have NO reason to like Street Fighter... other than HIM! That sexy looking Spaniard, that hot damn bishonen him! Oddly, the reason I liked him was the gorgeous Jay Tavare who played as him in Street Fighter the movie (so now you know why I liked the movie SO much!) but Vega is a damn kickass hottie! He's a Spaniard isn't he? Plus, his weapon is so original... and the mask thing... just sexy!

V Sub Zero (MK3 oddly!) V

About the ONLY thing worty in this game! Hail to John Turk!!

Well, he beats Kerri Hoskins for one thing and his looks don't hurt either. He's cool (couldn't be hot now, could he? ;) and you know he's the No.1 Kombatant...

V Kung Lao (MK2) V

He's been a soulbond once, possibly with the same impact as Kazuya even... I don't know why he yielded, maybe because he's a good guy...

I picture him tall with sparkling brown eyes and hard features, sharp sideburns and very strong... uncouth perhaps but an honest soul and a reliable friend and companion. Not exactly a marrying man, but whoever had Mileena wouldn't wish another woman to take her place...
Easy with the rest of us, cowboy! ~_^

V Baek Doo San (Tekken 2) V

Korean, black hair black eyes combo, Tae Kwon Do and a sleek ponytail! Pulpy lips and keen eyes, he's so damn hot! Can I say sexy? Although his animated self isn't exactly a hotshot, all his rendered picks are an item!! Burn baby, burn!!!

V Yoshimitzu (Tekken) V

He dances like a baffoon in Tekken 1, he's very weird and each time he gets a new look but have you seen his Tekken 1 ending? If that doesn't soften the cruellest heart! Plus, he now plays in Soul Calibur... About time too!!
Now that I think about it, is his dance supposed to immitate that of Mitzurugi?
And what exactly is the 'sit-down-and-heal' supposed to be? Sure he's only healing himself!

V Sniper Wolf (Metal Gear Solid) V

She's not playable, she's an enemy, she's blonde, heavenly in figure, every man's and boy's fantasy... a bitch and an assassin... shouldn't I despise her?
Wrong. Wrong, wrong wrong. Sniper is the COOLEST person of Metal Gear, she displays her charms but doesn't use them, she's a poisonous blossom you'd better beware, she has a good personality that in the end is revealed... who didn't cry at her story?
Being a bloody sniper, how can that but be cool? She loves animals, wolfs actually, ain't it cool that she does? Plus she's a Kurd... How can I but esteem her greatly?

V Sabin Rene Figaro (Final Fantasy IV / III) V

That 'bear' of a brother for Edgar, king of Figaro looks like the typical muscle-no-brains blonde but... rarely will you find a heart nobler than his. He fights with the Bagh Nagh, (like Vega!) he's low on Magic but sure has muscle and speed! Equip with a black belt and a genji glove - da BOMB! He's such a darling thing too, a cute little boar him and he does look sweet, little him! I couldn't really make a team without Sabin and even though I renamed the others, he remained as Sabe... A kiss to Sabin! ^_^

V Terra Brandford (Final Fantasy IV / III) V

Half human, half Esper, in constant dillema and seeking for balance. I like Terra for being caught in the middle and for being virtuous and brave. I like her for her moving story and for her kindness, her genuine love for everyone and wanting to be loved, for handling the sword like a real fighter and for offering the lovely storyline of her love for General Leo.

V Zell Dincht (Final Fantasy 8) V

I could call him the reincarnation of Sabin in Final Fantasy 8 and I would be right. He looks like him, only in shorter and not as burly but he is a martial artist like him, has very similar hair and moves, anyway, I always favor martial artists everywhere... even with names so hard to pronounce and even hint to... well, Dincht, of all names?!? ^_^
Zell is so impressive and so strong, his limits are spectacular and though he doesn't look very good, once you get to know him, you fall for his ever smiling face with that crazy tattoo and look forward to play with him again! I like him in his school uniform better though...

V Quistis Trepe (Final Fantasy 8) V

Balamb Garden's instructor who looks very much like Nina Williams and fights with a whip - don't get any ideas! She is hardly a gorgeous looking bitch. She is a gorgeous proud lady and one with truly worthy character. In this RPG which was disappointing for storyline and characters, Quistis is more than a bright spot. She is a reason to like the game.

V Seifer Almasy (Final Fantasy 8) V

Ah... if Only we could play more with Seifer!
I proudly say that.... I'm in Love with Seifer! Why? How come I like this blonde, sugary looking, blue eyed Apollo who (sadly) looks very much like a nazi officer? I don't know! I only know that HE should be the lead of Final Fantasy VIII and not Squall! He is cut out for an RPG hero! It should be he and his palies, Fujin and Raijin to run the show!
Those little moments we had him in our company were the best... Oh Seifer, will you be my knight?

V Katt (Breath of Fire 2) V

I've heard and heard about that game, read fanfics, until I stumbled upon it...
...and I found my beloved Katt :)
Like with Sabin, the team couldn't be complete without her... Raye (as I named Ryu instead) ought to choose her. In my game, he did. She's so much the girl I admire. A good, fast AND strong fighter with proud spirit that seems snappy but in truth, I think Katt is a kind girl down inside, one who has learned to support herself. She wants love as much as everyone and even though she'll never admit it, she is willing to put others before herself...
Don't worry Katty :) With a face so cute and such lively character, it won't be long before you find your match! ^_^

V Kossack (Ultimate Body Blows) V

The game is about as bad as any Street Fighter clone, Kossack is the big muscular wrestler of the game. He doesn't even look good.
...I imagine him as someone with childish simplicity, honest emotions and innocense. Acts very much as a small kid, listens to Monster Magnet, thinks he looks like the lead singer and writes stories of knights and dragons.
I don't care what he looks like, if he were real, I'd ask him out! ^_^

V Serena (Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption) V

Shut up before you say that Vampire the Masquerade sucked. I don't care about your opinion on the game or the system for that matter. This is all about the lovely Serena, the Cappadocian lady vampire encountered in the Dark Ages. She isn't very much combat oriented but has some bloody damn good magic disciplines. Seductive and determined, she stands equal in a male-oriented society as a worthy member of the team and not as nicely arranged lumps of flesh. Still, she is sexy when she feeds and I think that she and Wilhelm will make a wonderful couple. Did I mention she wears a purple gown?

V Wilhelm (Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption) V

I couldn't overlook the Teutonic Brujah vampire knight, Serena's match according to me. Unlike Christof, he isn't as good looking but he is stronger, purer of soul (as much as a vampire gets) and definitely more mentally balanced and right-minded. Gawd, I would choose him over Christof anyday!

* Michelle Chang (Tekken 1 & 2): A girl I can empathise with, stands out of the Tekken chicks pool for being serious and not cheesy/girly/silly. I detest how they presented her in Tekken3 and as for Tekken Tag... well who bothers with that flob.
