When you look at a regular TI calculator to calculator link cable or calculator to PC cable, doesn't it look like it's missing something? Well it is--Lights! On this page, I will explain to you how to add some sharp- looking LEDs to any link cable.

Beware... The project on this page is of my design. I have built it and it works wonderfully. However, I cannot and do not hold any responsibility for anything that gets damaged through the use of the information on this page. In other words, play at your own risk.

To start off, just gather the following parts:

  1. Two T1 size LEDs (light emitting diodes).
  2. Two 10,000 Ohm 1/4 Watt resistors of equal value.
  3. A TI calculator to calculator link or a calculator to computer link.
  4. An enclosure for the LEDs. (optional)

Following the diagram below, connect the components to the wires after they have been properly stripped. After the connections have been made, be sure to insulate them in some way to prevent any shorts. After you have completed this, you can mount the LEDs in an enclosure or leave them how they are. To test the link, just plug it in and use it as normal.
