The Forest of Tears - November 4th, 2000
Crippled
Running
Branches scraping my skin open
straight red gashes like clothes
I have gone blind in the caves
Lost my hearing in the dungeons
And emotions drained by fate
Still I forge ahead
Chopping, Swinging
Clearing my path in the forest of tears
Collapsed in the clearing
Moon shines evil grins
Lighting the path
Leading to nowhere
Gazing at the purple sky
Stars fall, Wishes promised
tears trickle down
and my poor body crawls ahead
Instinct fueling my fires
Knowledge pulls me towards the light
Life brings me to face my devils
And death offers eternal sleep
Hours pass, maybe years
Always night, always trees
and then I come upon it
salvation with open arms
I take the already traveled path
follow the footsteps
hopeful smiles form wrinkles in my skin
body runs on unknown energy
Faster and faster
I think the moon is falling
Night is leaving!
I can see the door!
The trees separate
bushes shift apart
I walk into the clearing and see the path
my heart splits
and my soul commits suicide
The path already traveled
was navigated by me
I run in circles
forever searching
for light
