The Chapter competition is complete, and no surprises unfeld: Lux Middle School 1st and Irving Middle School 2nd (woohoo!) Both those teams will go to state on March 21. This is the final year for the Lux coach, who has been doing Mathcounts for a very, very long time, and has won many, many state competitions.
Stats for Irving's mathletes:
- Scott Thompson: 5th
- David Varvel: 11th
- Eric VanHorn: 17th
Also on the team is Fred Gay, our coach is Susie McAllister (swatson@lps.org) and the alternates are Jeff Cozine and Mark Nelson.
