DC's Oerth

Welcome to DC's version of Oerth!

For those of you familiar with the Oerth of TSR, you'll find alot of similarities and some striking differences. My Oerth has been around for a long time (19 years and counting) -- longer than most of the published books.. During this time, alot has happened and I've defined whole regions of the planet. When "official" material came out, I couldn't change reality, so this Oerth has "grown up" a little differently; Iuz never invaded the other nations, the Council of Eight are just a bunch of famous mages, the North Province is a "Scottish" nation while the See of Medegia is "Greek", Spell Jamming is unknown and there are no artifact-wielding liches enslaving the world. The curious can check out the current events and rumors...

I'm slowly moving my history files on-line. You can find info on some of the events of (my) Oerth by looking under the early history and later events of the campaign. I've added a short biography for some of the better known NPCs in the campaign. I've also got certain character bios available in the Hall of Heroes. I've also done some work hammering together the unique gods of Oerth and their collective pantheon.

Some of the new and noteable regions of (my) Oerth include: (my version of) Greyhawk (the City of Thieves -- and wizards), the Cairn Hills, Portown, Ningal (the City of Witches), Amberwood (the Witchland of Furyondy), Klarr (the tiny Gnarley Wood township), Castle Maure, Schwartzenbruin (the capitol of Perrenland), Seant (the capitol of Onwall), the Great Kingdom (the British Empire at its worst), the Highlands (the North Province, which models Scotland), the Sea Barons (Land of the Celts), Western and Eastern Medegia and Ahlissa (which model Italy and Greece), the vast jungles of Hepmonaland, the unexplored Olman civilization, the Archipelico and lands of Zakhara, Neregan (the ancient land of the pyramid builders), Indus, Shou Lung (Tang China), Tien Lung (Sui China), Tabot (Tibet), Kozakura (Ashikaga Japan), Wa (Tokugawa Japan) and more. There are the two moons of Oerth; the larger, rythmic mistress of the night, Luna, and her tiny, erratic hand-maiden, Celene. And then there are the other four of the five worlds...mysterious and unexplored...known only by the names Torix, Cidri, Manea and Eon. And beyond them are other, unrelated worlds, like Torsh, Hnoon, Sapphira, Gilva, Avoreen, Sindareth, Maldev, and others.

Wanna see my campaign primer? It has lots of supplemental information, as does my page on the various campaign cultures. Required reading for a new player!
