Responsible for general and international testing of various
consumer applications (including Photoshop, ImageReady, Premiere,
Photoshop Elements, PhotoDeluxe, PageMill and Kodak PictureCD).
Testing environment includes English and localized products under
Windows XP, 2K, NT, 98, and 95, Mac OSX, OS9, PowerPCs and 68ks
running English, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese,
Swedish, Danish, Finnish, and Japanese. Responsible for the creation
of test plans, hardware and software test configuration, bug
documentation and regression and localized content verification.
Focus includes cultural, as well as linguistic, correctness.
General testing focus on Internet-related capabilities (including
use of HTML and some Java) for creating web content, but included
testing printers, scanners, digital cameras and general application
quality as well. Performed as Team Lead for latest localization
effort of PhotoDeluxe. Administrated bug database of external
beta test and distributed results throughout the QA team. Acted
as point-of-contact between development and QA for integrated
third party application.

Responsible for the computer and telecommunications resources
for the entire company. The LAN was a 50+ user, Novel network
running IPX, including two file servers, a Windows NT web-server,
CD-ROM server and tower, a fax-server and a cc:Mail SMTP gateway.
The PBX system was an AT&T Merlin Legend running Audix Voice
Power III. Duties included support of all software products used
on the network such as Windows, cc:Mail, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Access and Netscape Navigator; management and enhancement of
the LAN; HTML programming; managing of resources such as printers
and scanners; trouble-shooting and repair of minor hardware problems
such as disk drives, hard drives, CD-ROM drives, daughter cards,
etc; assembling and running 10Base-T cabling; performing regular
tape back-ups and evaluating new software. In essence, the technical
buck stopped here.

A member of the Network Sales Team. Work closely with Engineering
to learn, build, trouble-shoot and develop networking products,
such as CD-ROM servers, jukeboxes and towers. Responsible for
networking technical support for Plextor products to select customers.
Support included answering detailed questions by phone, aiding
and educating sales and support staff.

Company
Responsible for the maintenance of a 70+ user, Novel NetWare
3.11 LAN. Duties include support of all software products used
on the network such as Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPerfect,
DrawPerfect, dBase and R:Base; managing of resources such as
printers, scanners and shared computers; trouble-shooting and
repair of minor hardware problems such as disk drives and boards;
performing regular tape back-ups and evaluating new software.
Initiated and completed major rewrite, redesign and repair of
the company's personnel training database using R:Base and later
using Access.

Company
Created a training program for Microsoft Office 3.0, including
Windows, Mail, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Wrote courseware
and taught one-day courses on each of the above applications.
Trained and lead three instructors and two lab assistants to
broaden the program to 600+ students per year. Nominated for
Employee of the Year.

Created, modified and maintained unique databases in support
of various space shuttle missions and other government satellite
programs. All code written in Jovial under MVS/XA on IBM 370's.

Two month foreign exchange program (IEP) with focus on using
language skills in a business environment. Nearly all business
communications in German. Ported code for analyzing customer
data from Excel Basic to LotusScript in support of IBM's 370
mainframe servers. Created, translated and proof-read documents
for my code and for other employee projects.

Three years experience helping students and faculty trouble-shoot
