The Lions Clubs International Melvin Jones Fellowship Award

For Outstanding Contributions to the Success of the Club The Lions Clubs International Melvin Jones Fellowship Award is presented to the Lion who has been a leading contributor to the success of the club. The recipient is selected by the clubs president, officers and directors. The club donates one thousand dollars in the name of the recipient. The Lion is presented with a pin and plaque from the Lions Clubs International. Their names are added to the plaque at the Lions Club International Headquarters. The donation is presented to the Lions Club International Foundation. The LCIF is the charitable branch of the Lions Clubs International. The foundation distributes funds in the form of grants for humanitarian services, disaster relief and vocational assistance. LCIF also helps oversee the funding and progress of projects established through the Lions primary program Sightfirst.

The Canal Winchester Lions Club is proud to have six Melvin Jones Fellows: Ivan Gundy, William Hockman, Robert Huston, Alfred Schirm,, Leo Lamb and Jeff Sweeney.

100% President Award

Awarded to a club president who meets criteria determined by the District Governor.

100% Secretary Award

Awarded to a club secretary who meets criteria determined by the District Governor.

District Lion of the Year

Awarded by district committee to the district lion of the year. Must be nominated.

District First Year Lion of the Year

Awarded by district committee to the district first year lion of the year. Must be nominated.

District "F" Pins

You may earn a white district "F" pin by doing one of the following things listed below. When you have earned five white "F" pins, you may turn them in to receive a gold "F" pin.

Perfect Attendance

A member in good standing with perfect attendance is awarded a perfect attendance pin at the end of the year. (Make-Up Rules) 1
