We all got up at 9:00 am because Robin had said that if anyone got up before, that their life would not be worth living. But oh no, Robin was up at 8:45 am just, so he could have a wash -git !!!
We had breakfast at 9:30 am and then had to set our tents up and then get on our way to Slovak paradise - it took an hour and a half getting there and David G kept speaking to Martin and asking him some pointless question and then Martin started teaching us some Slovak language. We started the hike up the mountain and again David G was asking Martin some questions - Martin called him an APPLE POLISHER (Slovakian for Creep).
On the hike we had to keep stopping for the WI's about every two minutes (the older leaders). On the walk we had to climb three ladders - some of them were at a slant and most were vertical. We had climbed all of the ladders and bridges and were looking at all the spectacular waterfalls. For about the last mile of the hike the path was going up and up and up and had to stop about 7 times for the WI's and Chris Hillier!!! - Martin was being his usual humorous self. On the way back down, me and Andy Penneck and Andy Hillier decided to run down and we had to wait half-an-hour for the rest of the Troop to come back. While we were waiting we started talking to Neil and Dave (our Drivers) and found out that Neil used to play in a five-a-side football club in goal but had to give it up because he kept breaking his fingers.
When we got back to the camp site we had to wash our sweatshirts and T-shirts and then had dinner. It was broth and a lot of bread, there was literally sacks of bread rolls! After dinner, we played a game of 7-a-side football in the gym but the Leaders' Team had about 25 people on their team and they won every game because they had the very skilful player STEVE FENN. James Bewley was finding it difficult to hit the ball and kept kicking the radiator and John Neal managed to sprain his wrist. After that we all went and had a cup of orange and a chocolate bar.
