The updater for MacDoom II has finally been released. The latest patch to version 1.0.3 fixes a few bugs, and makes network gamesplayable on PCI and Open Transport machines. The patch only updates aprevious version of Doom II

Consisting of episode 1 : Knee Deep in the Dead, can now beon your Mac so you can try out Doom. You just need a 040-class Mac orgreater, System 7.5 or greater, and 8 or more megabytes of memory. Once you get the Shotgun, first shoot the demons then get your friendsin sight and deathmatch them! There's also a mirror copy available at any Info-Mac site

I would like to recommend you visit the Mac Doom Review home page, or MDR for short. It is an excellent site for the online e-zine that comes out near monthly. Each issue you will find lots of info, news, URLS, and WAD reviews on MacDoom plus tips for how to play the game. There's nothing better. Plus the NewsFeed page is excellent and is constantly being updated with newtidbits, that's worth seeing MDR just all by itself.
