This is my tribute to my cat Hiss....Although He didn't live with me...he always loved me as much as i loved him..He made his trip over the Rainbow Bridge August 19, 1999. I'll always miss how he wound come running when i showed up for a visit. How he'd lie on my chest at night and fall asleep Purr Purring my neck and strectched out to my knees (*grin* he was a Big Kitty) I don't have a picture of my dear Hisspers but this Gif is so like him i cried when i saw it. He was a rescued kitten..followed my friend home in the rain one day..he was just a furball with teeth..He got his name because, just for show, he'd hiss at you before jumping in your arms and purr purring the life out of you...(NOte: purr purring is when he'd put his head in your neck, kneed and drool all over you while purring at the top of his lungs..*grin* we think it was a throw back from nursing or something..but he only purr purred you if he really loved you)The Rainbow Bridge - - Author Unknown
There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the "Rainbow Bridge" because of it's many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other.
There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on Earth. So each day they run and play until the day comes when all those pets you have loved suddenly stop playing and look into the distance. Their bright eyes are intent, their eager bodies quiver. Suddenly they begin to run from the group, flying over the green grass, their legs carrying them faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friends meet, you take them in your arms and embrace in a joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress the beloved heads and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pets, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together. Never again to be separated.
Waiting
I got to the gate of heaven today,
After we said good-bye,
I began to miss you terribly,

And she asked me to enter heaven's gate,
I asked her if I could stay outside
