"She Stares, She Wonders, She Bows, She's Gone"
She Stares into the darkness
Of a place she's come to know.
With just a thread of hopefulness
And the light that's lost its' glow.
She Wonders if life is worth this pain
That surrounds her all the time.
The path that she has taken
And the trail she left behind.
This is not the way
She intended it to be.
With hopeless dreams and nightmares
And living on the streets.
Her body has been a temple
A jewel to those who would appease.
The beds that she has lied upon
Only added to her shattered dreams.
She Bows her head and tears fall down
As she reaches for the pills.
She empties out the bottle
Sets it back upon the sill.
The darkness that surrounds her
Is slowly closing in.
And in her mind she sees herself
In a place that's free from sin.
She's Gone now to another place
She sees a light so bright and grand.
She pleas for God's forgiveness
As she reaches out her hand.
