"I Thought Of You Today"

I thought of you today as your memory crossed my mind. "It seems your memory never fades and it's never hard to find.

"And I can't help but wonder, Do I ever cross your mind? "Do you ever think of me and the love we left behind?

"Sometimes I have a yearning to call you on the phone. "But then I think, No, I"d better just leave well enough alone.

Sometimes It hurts so much, this love I still feel inside.

"And at times it's hard to hide all the tears that I have cried.

"I can't erase your memory, no matter how hard I try. "And this love that's deep inside of me, there's no trying to deny.

"You left a place within my heart that no other can fullfill. "And just the mention of your name will always make my heart stand still.

"I thought of you today as your memory crossed my mind. "It seems your memory never fades and it's never hard to find.

"And I can't help but wonder, Do I ever cross your mind? "Do you ever think of me and the love we left behind?

"Have I left a place within your heart like the one you have left in mine? "Oh your memory will stay with me until the end of time.
