Sailor Eternity is a girl named Rebekah. She is the deceased
daughter of Queen Serenity, making her Serena’s sister. Three
years before Serena was born Queen Serenity was pregnant
with her first child, a girl, who was to be called Rebekah.
After the baby’s birth the kingdom rejoiced and had parties
in honor of her. When Rebekah was 3 she got lost in the
palace and fell off of a balcony. She landed about fifty
feet below on the garden walkway. As she was on the verge
of death something miraculous happened. The Silver Imperium
Crystal split into two parts. One remained in Queen Serenity’s
possession, but the other flew off, never to return. This
other half of the crystal flew to Rebekah’s side, and used
its energy to take her to another dimension. Once there, Rebekah
recovered. The energy from the crystal guided her to a talking
cat named Athena. Athena told her that she had in fact not died,
but had been saved by the Imperium Silver Crystal. She was now
one with it. The crystal kept her alive, and supplied a much-needed
new body to her. Rebekah looked at herself and realized she was
no longer the girl of 3 she used to be, but was, she guessed,
around the age of 15. “That’s right,” Athena told her. “Your new
body is that of a teen, and will remain that way from now on. As
long as the Imperium Crystal lives in you, you will not die.” Athena
told her it was time for her to begin her mission as a Sailor
Scout. Athena jumped over backwards in a flip, and a small broach
appeared. “This,” Athena said, “is your transformation broach.
It will give you the power to transform into a Sailor Scout, like
your sister Serena.” “Now,” Athena said, “shout Eternity Star
Power!” “Alright,” said Rebekah. “Eternity Star Power!” Suddenly
she began to transform and was clothed in her Sailor Outfit. When
she was through she looked at herself in amazement. “You are the
Sailor Scout of Eternity, Sailor Eternity,” Athena said. “The wand
you possess is your fighting weapon. It is also the key to the
gates of Eternity. With it you have the power to open the gate,
and allow those you choose to, to pass through. This is an important
job, and I know you can do it. It will get lonely though, since
you and I are the only ones capable of being in this dimension
except for the Sailor Scouts.” “Really?” Rebekah asked Athena.
“Yes” she replied. “Can I meet the other Scouts?” Rebekah asked.
“Yes,” Athena said, “but not yet. The time will come when they will
need your help. You will see them then.” With that Athena turned
and led Rebekah to the gate. “This is what you will be guarding,”
she said. Rebekah looked up in awe. “It’s huge!” she said softly.
“It is huge,” Athena said “and it will be your responsibility
alone, to guard it. Now, it is time for your training to begin.”
