Happy Birthday, Tasuki!!!

It was a quiet, warm night. Sarah’s mom was away looking at houses in Sacramento, and her brother was away at work, so the two had the evening to themselves.

Sarah cooked a lovely dinner, and a cake was baking in the oven at that very minute; for it was a very special day. It was Tasuki’s birthday.

As the cake baked, the lovers sat quietly on Sarah's bed, Sarah’s head nuzzled against Tasuki’s chest, breathing softly. Tasuki took one of her hands and kissed it gently.

"There is nothing I would rather be doing than being with you like this, my darling," he said in a quiet, deep voice as he kissed her hand again.

Tasuki and Sarah having a tender moment together...

"I feel the same way, dearest," she echoed in a wistful tone, her golden hair shining in the moonlight with reflections of the stars dancing in her--

"Hey," Tasuki says, cutting off his reading. "What the hell is all this shit? Since when do I say things like that??" He stares at his lover critically. "And since when is your hair ‘golden’?? Anyone who’s got half a brain can see that it’s brown with natural gold and coppery highlights," he teases.

Sarah frowns and yanks the keyboard away from him. "Yeah, yeah, okay. Maybe I did make it a little too lovey-dovey…" She stops talking while she makes a few changes. She hands the keyboard back to Tasuki. "Here, read it now," she suggests.

The couple sat quietly on the couch, watching "Seinfeld"

"Now that sounds more like us," Tasuki says in an approving tone.

"Shut up and read!" Sarah commands.

Tasuki grins sheepishly and continues.
