This Security system can be tailored to your
home-whether you live in a 3-story colonial,
a ranch, even a studio apartment

Why do you need
a Godrej Electronic
Alarm System?
Linear SSD is loaded with design details and operating features that are based upon decades of
experience with how homeowners use security systems. It is provided as a basic system that can be
expanded easily with a full range of valuable accessories. In other words, you pay for precisely
the level of protection you need for the size and layout of your home. Basic systems include components
for protecting several entry points to your home (doors and/or windows) and for convenient, wireless
remote control.
The console is the heart of the system and allows you to set the security mode you want and to check
status. There are five easy-to-set operating modes: HOME-for protection at home. AWAY-for protection
when you're gone. CHIME-for advising when a door or window has been opened. TEST-for checking all
sensors. OFF-for disarming and for stopping alarms in progress.
The consloe receives a radio frequency signal whenever any of the wireless sensors experience a change
in condition-a door being opened, for instance. It can identify both the sensors and the signal type
(alarm or low battery warning) and take appropriate action. If there's an alarm, it will sound a loud,
internal siren, and if equipped for monitoring, place an automatic phone call to the central station.
Door/window sensors guard the entry points to your home and automatically trigger a system alarm
if there's an attempted break-in.
Remote control comes in several forms and varies by SSD system model. The wireless keypad includes
all of the same operating controls as the consloe and can be located anywhere around the house.
Keychain transmitters offer the convenience of one-button arming/disarming. The two-button model,
available as an accessory, also triggers the console's home automation feature (control of a room
light, for instance). When both buttons are pressed in unison, an emergency or "panic" alarm is
triggered.
Adding protection is easy. The system will support a total of 16 sensors of any type. Install more
door/window sensors for guarding other accessible entry points, outside buildings like sheds and
detached garages, and inside areas like gun and liquor cabinets. These sensors can also be equipped
with glass break detectors or magnetic contact sets for additional capabilities. Consider installing
more wireless keypads for remote control elsewhere around the house. And get extra keychain transmitters
so that every member of your family has one.
To ensure continuous protection even in a power failure, the console can be equipped with a rechargable
back-up battery. In the unlikely event an intruder gets inside your house, motion detectors pick up
the slightest movement and cause an alarm to sound. For protection against fire, SSD smoke detectors
are highly recommended-they sound their own alarm, a house alarm through the console siren, and also
place a fire call to the central station if your system is monitored.
Two SSD accessories for use outside your house are available. Install external sirens to alert
your neighbours in case of break-in, fire, or personal emergency. Also, post yard signs prominently
around your property as a deterrent to criminals. |
