This
tip should help you understand how Spherical Texture Mapping works
in Amorphium. Make your texture map twice as wide as it is high. The
map I used is 300 x 150 pixels. The black square is 150 x 150 pixels.
The circle and number eight can be as large as needed. |

Load
a sphere into Amorphium, then load your texture map and select Spherical
mapping. The top sphere has no mapping, the middle spheres are at
different angles to show you how the black square wraps around the
center of the sphere. The bottom is the front view with an all black
rectangle. Normally you would have an all black rectangle to make
an eight ball. I added the red to show how the image map gets pulled
around the sphere from the north pole to the south pole. |

In
the picture below I used a smaller square to show you how Spherical
mapping pulls the image away from the center towards the back of the
object. The main thing to remember is use an image that is twice as
wide as it is high. |
