The Second Coming
*
Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the center cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction; the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
*
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand;
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in the sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
*
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches toward Bethlehem to be born?

"Permaculture philosophy is
one of working with, rather than against nature; of protracted and
thoughtful
observation, rather than protracted and thoughtless action; of looking
at systems in all their functions rather than asking only one yield of
them; of allowing systems to demonstrate their own evolution."

Everything in the known universe can be
described
mathematically
as a wave function of
a set of
characteristics
existing in a finite
area of
space-time.
And everything changes
according to the
laws of probability, another wave function.
Since
everything is a wave
function,
everything
has a
frequency,
timbre, and amplitude.
All
the wave forms change each other, become
chords, resonate,
harmonize, and occasionally crash into discord.
Everything, then,
is music.
Each of us is an
instrument in an
orchestra, making the sound
we make when
struck, rubbed, stroked,
or blown through.
Each of us is also a
player,
trying
to harmonize with
the other players.
Each of us is a
songwriter,
dreaming new themes and
trying to
steer the melody toward them.
And
each of us
is a song, our song which is our
life, with secret
themes,
counter rhythms, and inner harmonies of its own.
M. Komoroski,
explaining the expression
"Lord, Make me a piece
of your Instrument."
