Theodore HANSEN

Obituary as found in Staples World on December 7, 1978
Theodore, Ted, Hansen, 72, ofRt. 1 Staples, died Sunday December 3 at
United District Nursing Home.
Services were held on Tuesday December 5, at 2 pm at the Church of Christ
Philbrook.  Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery, Motley.  Pallbearers
were: Lloyd Sams, Robert Rychner, Vern Halverson, Wesley Crocker, James
Olson and John McGillivray.
Hansen was born in Esterville, Iowa, on October 25, 1906, to Martin and
Lean DeNio Hansen.  He came to the Leader area as a child with his
parents.  In later years he worked for Aldrich Factory, then farmed in
the Staplesarea till his death.  In March of 1934 he married Martha
Stowe in Philbrook.
He served as a member of the Board of Education for School District No.
80 for many years.  Hansen also served as an ASCS County Extension agent
for many years.
Survivors are; his wife Martha; three sons, Donald of Staples, Delbert of
Staples; and Duane of Motley; two daughters, Mrs. Carvin, Darlen Wederath
of St. Louis Park and Mrs Terrance, Dorothy Seely of Anoka.  Also
surviving are; one sister; Irene Nelson of Nashwauk; and two brothers,
Orville of Staples and Ivan of Staples.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and one
grandchild.


Berenisce HUFF

Berenisce was born in Dennison, Iowa and moved to Philbrook, Mn. with her
family.  She married James in Philbrook.  After he passed away, in 1966
she moved to Georgetown, Mn. to be near her son Frank.  Berenisce was 90
when she passed away.  Funeral services were held at the Wright Chapel,
Moorhead Mn.  Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetary in Motley, Mn.
