Welcome to Green Tara's Community Page.
Community is everything. If it wasn't for my community (spiritual and otherwise), I'd be nowhere. Many of my friends have websites, so I'd like to share them with you.
Visit Starrsky's Page. Starrsky is a wonderful lady who loves her dog, Samantha, about as much as I love my dog, Hans. She has been a great help with this website, as well as a terrific friend. Her site is a lot of fun.
If you have an iguana for a companion, or if you are thinking about getting one of these wonderful creatures, you must see the Lizard Lady's Lair. The Lizard Lady is another totally cool friend of mine and a very smart lady (also a socialist -- Rev-o-lu-tion! Rev-o-lu-tion!). She's just getting started, so drop by every once in a while to discover how far the lair goes!
It's raining cats and dogs!. Visit here to meet all the four-legged companions who live with me.
Soon to come! A web tribute to my friend, Jamie Morris, born October 12, 1975, transitioned November 6, 1998. Jamie was such an amazing man. He was at West Point Military Academy (but he was trying to get out) and he was a wonderful Wiccan brother. He died at West Point, and his death remains a mystery. All I can say is, young healthy men do not die of the flu!! I will miss you my brother.
I have read two amazing books by the coolest woman! Her name is Sark, and the two books I've read are Succulent Wild Woman: Dancing With Your Wonder-full Self and The Bodacious Book of Succulence: Daring to Live Your Succulent Wild Life. Please visit her website for a taste of Sark's magnificence: Camp Sark.
Here's a list of Succulent Wild Women and Succulent Wild Men I know:
Bob! (my patient, wise, brilliant, handsome sweetie), Darlene, Kristin (my beautiful sister), Jamie (miss you, brother), Antoinette (distance cannot separate soul sisters); Nancy, Shawn, and little Dana Marie (due in January 1999!) in Santa Barbara; Dana Faye (and not just 'cause I'm your Moogie); Jen (xxoo); Cristina (you are as beautiful as you are talented and I am blessed by you); Hans! (my amazing Weimaraner) and his feline companions Bert, Bo, Bacchus and Little Friend (from down the street); Maggie, Mike, Miriam, Deb and Dr. Kim Vaz from the greatest course I've ever taken; Tim, Sharon and Sean; Daddy (though he doesn't know it) & Mommy (though she doesn't know it); Marc; Starr (lifetime after lifetime), Cross (adorable man), Cymry and Cristashi a.k.a. The Elf and The Orc (two of the most incredible children I have ever known -- brilliant, truth-sharing, joyful, loving -- I celebrate you and your truly amazing parents).
There's more of course. Just read Sark's books. When I did, I felt like she was writing a letter to me!

Internet Communities: Not better or worse, just different!
The Nature Religion Scholars Network (Natrel-l) is a listserv for the academic discussion of religion. Although there are both academics and practitioners on the list (and some people are both), the list is there to discuss issues surrounding nature religions as religious phenomena. That is to say, we do not compare notes from our Books of Shadows. Rather, we have scholarly discussions about, for instance, the origin of the Book of Shadows (and, in fact, whose Book of Shadows) as well whether or not these issues have an impact on practice by individuals. We are currently attempting to get Nature Religions official status as a consultation with the American Academy of Religion. Click here to visit Natrel's website and learn about the participants and the consultation.
