- Water quality
- Erosion and Sedimentation, and Sediment Control Policies
- The development of effective Stormwater Management controls
- The on-going environmental impacts of the M2 Motorway
- Rezoning of land excess to the M2 Motorway
- Proposed extensions to the National Park
- Pollution in the Lane Cove River
- Increased Coordination of State of Environment Reporting
- Integration of State of Environment Reports with Council Management Plans
- Increased Coordination of Vegetation Management and Regeneration efforts in the
Catchment
- The consideration of catchment management issues in land use planning decisions
- Changes to the use of Foreshore Building Lines to protect bushland
- On-going community awareness of key issues, and education
- Developing a greater public profile for the LCRCMC
- The Total Catchment Management Review
- The development of a Total Catchment Management system for the entire catchment of
Sydney Harbour, such as a Trust
- Up-grading the sewerage system of the northern region of Sydney to reduce overflow
pollution
- Increasing the accessibility and distribution of catchment management information
- Increasing the participation of Schools in Streamwatch and other environmental
education programs
- Funding of community based environmental projects in the catchment
- Developing short-term Action Plans to achieve the long-term outcomes of the Strategic
Plan (1995)
- The management and protection of Native Fauna in the catchment
