Summary: Water quality in this sub-catchment cannot be suitably addressed on the basis on one dry weather Streamwatch sample. Sewage pollution and high nutrient loadings are evident.
Issues: High residential landuse and waterfront properties in this sub-catchment make the potential incidence of sewerage pollution high especially given the age of the area and associated infrastructure.
Knowledge Gaps: Only scant sewerage information is known about this sub-catchment and no details on stormwater are available.
Recommendations: An audit of stormwater and sewerage systems should be conducted. Monitoring of water quality taking pooled samples may be a way of addressing the problem of many small sub-catchments within a small area.
