Summary: Water quality in this sub-catchment is poor. Sewage pollution is very evident and nutrient loads are high. Eutrophic conditions are present in this creek.
Issues: This sub-catchment contains over one fifth of the entire industrial area of the catchment. This is therefore a large potential source of pollution. The sub-catchment contains the junction of Epping road and Lane Cove road which may be a source of pollutants such as hydrocarbons which have not previously been monitored.
Knowledge Gaps: More information regarding sewerage overflows and activity is required. Stormwater information is adequate.
Recommendations: Water quality monitoring should be continued and expanded to include wet weather sampling. Focus may be drawn to stormwater outlets from industrial areas. The condition of the sewerage system should be assessed.
