Summary: Water quality in this sub-catchment is poor Samples in wet and dry weather have shown high faecal coliform levels which are likely derived from overflows and exfiltration in the residential areas which comprise most of the catchment. Phosphorus limits are exceeded and may be derived from St. Ignatius schools playing fields and Tennyson Park.
Issues: Suburban chokes and exfiltration are major sources of pollution and should be investigated.
Knowledge Gaps: Sewerage and stormwater information on this catchment is generally complete.
Recommendations: Audit of the sewerage system to identify further sewerage overflows and exfiltration sites.
