Summary: Water quality in this sub-catchment is fair. Low turbidity and faecal coliform readings indicate that pollution from overflows and sedimentation is minimal. The sub-catchment is small and is largely open space, much of which is reserve or national park. Levels of phosphorus and nitrogen are frequently above the guidelines and may be derived in part from Christie playing fields.
Issues: Pollution from phosphorus appears to be an important issue.
Knowledge Gaps: Information on water quality in this catchment is largely complete.
Recommendations: Some investigation into the specific sources of nitrogenous waste.
