Summary: Sewage overflows are an obvious problem in this sub-catchment and high levels of nutrients and low DO indicate possible eutrophication. The low percentage of wet days suggests dry weather leakage and exfiltration may be a problem.
Issues: This sub-catchment is another branch of the headwaters and so base information is crucial. High levels of sewage contamination in these upper reaches will increase the difficulty of detecting problems downstream.
Knowledge Gaps: At the time of printing, Ku-ring-gai Municipal Council was still undertaking an audit of stormwater outlets in this sub-catchment. This information may become available in the near future.
Recommendations: A stream remediation program is proposed for 1999 / 00. It is recommended that this project be carried out. Obtain stormwater outlet information when available.
