"It's a wonderful experience to work alongside a farmer, plant and harvest food, and feel the beauty of nature.Being in college is great, but sometimes it's hard to find the balance. This apprenticeship brought together all the important elements of my life-physical exercise, family, community, hard work, learning, service and spirituality." Paula Posas.

"Working directly with the earth--providing food for the local community...is an opportunity to learn lessons that cannot be learned in the classroom: how to work hard in a physical way, determination, constancy, attunement to the rhythms and cycles of nature, cooperation with fellow workers, service to the community and responsibility." Lucy Greensmith.
