Eco Ag Service is happy to announce that applications are now being taken for a scholarship of four hundred dollars ($400.00 US).
The scholarship will be applied to expenses for attendance at the 2001 Social and Economic Development (SED) Seminar and/or Conference of the Americas sponsored by the Rabbani Trust. The site is the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando, Florida, USA. Seminar: December 11 - 13/ Conference: December 13 - 16, 2001
Attendance at these events will give the recipient an opportunity to meet others interested in agriculture and related fields and to learn more about Baha'i principles of sustainable development.
This award honors the work of Ben Levy, retired Program Director of the Rabbani Trust, who encouraged and assisted in bringing the issues of agriculture, environment and rural development to the attention of his fellow Baha'is at the SED events over the past several years.

Preference will be given to applicants who are 18 years or older and who are vitally interested in issues related to agriculture or to the related fields of environment and rural development. Applications from younger persons will be given consideration.

The scholarship monies will be delivered on site in Orlando. The Seminar/Conference registration fee of $120.00 US will be paid directly by Eco Ag Service from the scholarship monies and the remainder of $280.00 US will be handed to the recipient for use toward other expenses.
