I have selected a few examples of the kind of amusing email I get from people who disagree with the views
of VLF. These people obviously didn't understand the purpose of this site. I provide these emails without
comment, since there hardly remains anything to say to these lost souls...

I was eating meat before but after visiting your website, I've been all
the more convinced to become a vegetarian! Your arguements are silly and
need lousy. The animals we eat consume plants too and it takes a lot
more plants to feed an animal than to feed man. Thanks for convincing me
to live a vegetarain lifestyle!

I think that this site is cruel and inhumane.  There have never been
any signs that show plants have feelings.  There is however proof that
show animals do have feelings!  I am a vegitarian and I have many
friends that eat meat, I do not condem them for their choice of food and
your site should not condem me and others like me for our choice of
food.  If Americans reduced their intake of meat to 10 percent of their
diet, there would be enough room to grow other food that could feed the
60 million people that starve to death each year.  Meat also leads to
heart attacks and other diseases, but that's fine I hope you do have a
heart attack.  People like you are not needed in this world.

Do you really have so much time on your hands that all you can think of
for a website is liberating vegetables? That's scary.

How does a pig feel in the slaughter house knowing it's only a matter of
minutes until its flesh and bones will be sawed in half?! How does a cow
feel when its throat is being slashed so it can be drained of blood and
hung on a hook to be your next meal?! Do you know a veal (young cow) is
placed in a cage no bigger than itself without food or water and must
stand in its own feces and urine until it dies? We (vegans) respect our
fellow beings and our environment a hell of a lot more than meat eaters.
Why is it that you've made a web page insulting vegans when your web
site backround contains meant AND vegetables? And another thing, a plant
can't smell, talk, think, or hear, therefore when a potato is boiled it
does NOT sense pain, and when a tomato is sliced with a sharp knife it
doesn't have the BRAIN to scream silently. Don't be stupid. Trees
produce oxygen, and the majority of vegans don't eat trees (not too
great tasting, y'know), thus we aren't taking any oxygen away from
anybody. If anything, we're HELPING the environment. The Amazon
rainforest is being destroyed to provide farmlands and cattle grazing.
Our vegan web sites don't usually throw personal insults at carnivores,
so don't do it to us. LONG LIVE THE VEGANS!

i've always eated meat it's good it's natural ,what's
wrong with this.But i've a question you say you care
about plants but eating animals we destroy more
vegetables than simply eating the vegetables
themselves.
But what's wrong, i think we've only right and no duty
for anyone or anything so i can destroy a forest ,eat
a cow still alive or kill you because you've all the
shit of the world in your head.

This is by far the most stupidest website i have ever seen! First off,the
VLF??? You eat vegetables dont you? Yep you do... And complaining about
the trees getting cut down! Damn, havent you heard?? The Rain forest is
getting wiped out because of meateaters. That includes you. You should have
done your research before putting a site like this on the web. This page would
make me wanna go vegan, if i wasnt already. Because this just goes to show how
much knowledge carnivores are lacking. Also, if you didnt know, animals also
breath, procreate and die like us also. But you continue to eat them.
Hopefully you are making alot of money now, because sometime in the
future you'll need that money to pay for all your hospital expenses. Due to
all those many cancers, and other diseases caused by eating meat.You should
also go get the arteries leading to your heart checked often to make sure
they're not clogged.
