What a beautiful site, almost as beautiful as Oscar himself and the work he created. I became devoted to Wilde when I studied him for my English exams 11 years ago, and read The Picture of Dorian Grey and Lord Authur Saville's Crime. I was ill in 1990 and spent the entire year in bed, during which Oscar's works kept me in good spirits. Even now, when I read him, I have to stop every few paragraphs, to wonder, laugh or cry. I celebrate his birthday every year by buying one of his books for a friend, thereby continuing to introduce him to people. Every year I commemorate his death, either by watching the film "Wilde" (starring the fantastic Stephen Fry), reading or listening to The Ballad of Reading Gaol, and watching documentarys. Every time I hear the grama hone recording of what is supposedly Wilde's voice, I get goosebumps. I'm glad that others share my love of him. P.S. Not sure the car stuff is relevant though.

Hey, I just wanted to say how beautiful your eighty nine is, i own one of the same year, in Black Cherry, and im glad to see another proud wagoneer owner that takes the same care as i do. I am also only 17. Actually today, I had my jeep in a car show, and out of two hundred and fifty classics (including an original 427 Cobra)I got one of twelve peoples choice awards. Nthing from the judges tho, and i dont blame them. I youd like to see a pic of my woody, then please email me, the picture is about 1.4 meg tho. so it takes a bit to download. THanks Matt Linn

Most magnificent page. I started reading Wilde for an assignment first with "The Importance of Being Earnest" and followed by "Salome." After that I couldn't stop and now I must read everything. I find Wilde to be a curiously interesting man.

For general information - Fingal was originally a first name, but has become, over the centuries, a surname as well. Information about road rhinos does not appeal to literature freaks, and I'm puzzled as why you bother quoting. On the whole, the photos are OK, but can be found in any decent dictionary of literature, not to mention the miriad of biographies available re Wilde. If you are interested in a serious literature page, I would suggest revamping, but if you are concentra ing on getting Wilde known, not a bad job.

I met Oscar Wilde by chance on an encarta encyclopedia article, but for some reason still mysterious to me, i felt attracted to him, and i started with research, and to my surprise, he's also Fingal. But my question is, is Fingal just a second name, or al o his lastname ? i would be glad to know, and moreover, i would have loved to have met my dear friend Wilde. He's as sarcastic and as intelligent, as no one comparable to him. And therefore, i like him so much.

I love my 89 grand! Its gold and loaded. It is almost showroom and will be with a little time. I also love my 82 Eagle Limited wagon. Its awesome, and I get 18 mpg.Its plush and it was way before its time. Its license plate reads "JEEPWAGN" because it is efinately Jeep influenced. I also love my Golden Eagle CJ5 with a 304. It doesn't get stuck on the trail, just breifly detained. I love pulling full sized trucks out of trouble, or going where they can't follow. Its a Jeep thing, and I understand!

Oscar Wilde is a funny little fellow. I could never be mad at him though. Quite remarkable. Quite talented as well. Once he upturned the entire sugar bowl at my table, then quoted himself laughing uproariously. I could only maintain my fury for a few mome ts. Hmmmmm. Well visit my site sometime and leave a message in the guestbook. Also, a fantastic site. Mr. Wilde appreciated it too and became quite flattered and quoted himself onc emore. Goodbye.
