CIF-SOS: Membership Information

There are many reasons for joining the CIF-SOS. Some of the benefits of membership include:

• Networking, the opportunity to meet and talk to a broad circle of people in the forestry community who have similar interests as you.
• Opportunities for professional and personal advancement

• Receiving the Forestry Chronicle, the Section Newsletter and other information pamphlets.
• A national program to certify continuing forestry education activities. The benefits include: certificates, employer recognition, recognition in The Forestry Chronicle and at CIF Annual Meetings, and the knowledge that we are staying ahead in a rapidly changing forestry world.
• Discounts on continuing education programs, conferences, life insurance, gift items, text books and publications. Membership subscriptions to the Canadian Journal of Forest Research are less than half of the regular price.
