ARRIVALS If possible, leave early so that you arrive prior to 4 pm on Friday. Please all have all registration and medical forms filled out prior to arriving at camp. They will be required of Friday night when you arrive at the camp.
FIRST AID AND EMERGENCIES A health lodge will be maintained for the duration of the camp. Please report all incidents to the lodge. ANY AND ALL CASES REQUIRING TRANSPORTATION TO THE HOSPITAL MAY BE DONE, AT THE DISRECTION OF THE LODGE PERSONNEL. ANY FEE ARISING OUT OF SUCH TRANSPORTATION WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE COMPANY OR IT'S LEADER. Please make copies of the medical form provided for each member of the Company. When you arrive at camp, you will be required to give the completed health forms to your subcamp chief. After you have given your forms to your chief, it will be noted and then they will be sent to the health lodge.
Please do not hand in any irreplacable originals of the youths forms. Please photocopy the originals and hand in the copies.
In the event of a fire, please keep all of your people on site, unless it is your site thats on fire. We, as staff, have procedures for handeling a situation like this. If you are all over the road at the camp, it makes it harder to control the situation.
WEAPONS, RADIO'S, DRUGS, ALCOHOL, FIREWORKS, AC/DC TV'S, PETS and SMALL CHILDREN are not permittes at camp, no exceptions! If you are caught in posession with any of the above, it will be confiscated and/or turned over to the police.
UNLOADING INSTRUCTIONS We will allow you to drive up to your site to uload, then drivers must proceed to the parking lot. All cars must stay in the parking lot for the weekend.
*IMPORTANT* When you pack up on Sunday, your site must be inspected by your subcamp chief. They will then give you premission to get your vehicle. We do this because we do not want garbage left around the field. Please be courteous.
CAMP EMERGENCY NUMBERS (519) 268-7703 This number is to be used for emergencies ONLY. We do not have the time to run all around the camp looking for someone for non-emergency reasons.
WATER SUPPLY The camp has town water available at three different water stations. No washing of clothes, people, or dishes may be done here. Leaching pits are to be used for gray water. Ask your subcamp chiefs for their location
PICNIC TABLES There is a limited number of picnic tables for campers. They will be handed out on a first come, first serve basis.
LOST AND FOUND There will be a lost and found box located at the registration building. If you've either lost or found something, please check in with registration and we will assist you the best we can.
SANITATION AND TOILETS The toilets are not garbage disposal units. Please use the garbage dumpsters for this. Have patience and common sense when using the washrooms. There will be several port-o-johns around the campsite, as well as pit-toilets.
GARBAGE PICK-UP Please put the garnage in bins after every meal. Raccoons and other animals may find their way in to your site.
LIQUID FUEL POLICY Each subcamp will have an area away from tents where all liquid fuel may be stored. Please mark you cans for quick identification. Only advisors willl be allowed to re-fuel the canisters. This will be strictly inforced for safety reasons.
ADVISOR SUPERVISION We will remove companies acting in a non-Scouting manner. Please act appropriate when going around to the events.
UNIFORM AND OPENING Please send only Comapny flags to the opening. Only uniforms or Company shirts may be worn at opening. Please respect these rules.
TUCK SHOP We will have a tuck shoip open all day Saturday which will be selling woggels, badges and other camp items.
EVENTS Event list isn't decided yet!
GONG SHOW We are once again running the Genesis Gong Show. All you have to do to participate is go up on stage during the show and sing a song, lip-sinc a song, act out a skit, or anything else you can think of. There will be prizes and much more!
PRESIDENTS MEETING On Saturday night there is a Presidents meeting under the tent. Please make sure the president from the Company is there. We want feedback from the youth and the advisors, so it is important the we have as many presidents as possible there.
KARAOKE On Friday night everyone is invited to participate in our Karaoke. This is where everybody can go and talk, relax and meet some new friends!
MOVIES Every night before lights out movies will be played in registration. This is so if people are tired they can be somewhere. If you are up after lights out, please be at the movies, or on your site! |

Each and every person that attends the Venturee, including Adbisors and Staff, must fill out a health form. For American attendees, please make photocopies of all health forms and health dicuments and hand in the copies to the camp. During border crossings, Customs officers will not accept photocopies. |
