                   Call Girl

She reaches back for a familiar face,

          Or perhaps a forgotten tear,

To find her hands in a shroud of Darkness,

          And around her only fear.

No clever verse of ponderous prose,

Can convey her pain, her plight,

As she moves toward an uncertain end,

In a world of endless night.

On she drives, but the look in their eyes,

has turned her heart to stone.

The hollow stare of empty minds,

That beg not to be alone.
