1 Man drills

Hit the ball along the side wall

Try to hit the ball at a consistent height on the front wall. Just above the red line. Work on keeping the ball tight to the wall and so that the second bounce is into the back wall. Work on hitting lobs. Work on digging the ball out off the back. Move back to the T. Reach for the ball. Work on Racquet preparation. Mix in the odd boast and kill shot from a lob.

2 Man drills

Half, half court game

Use the service box line that runs parallel to the side wall as a marker for the width of the court. Person serves standing on this line. All rallies must be between the side wall and the service line. The imaginary second bounce must cross the front service line of the box (ie no drop shots allowed)

Boast Drill

Person feeding drives down the wall or crosscourts Person at the back of the court boasts

Running Drill

Feeder can boast or hit down the wall Feeder hits drives or high lobs back to feeder.

Drop Drill

Runner at the T Feeder in the front at one corner. Feeder feeds lobs that land on the red line. Runner drops to the corner where feeder is.

Drop Drill 2

feeder in front corner runner behind him feeder straight drops in corner or tickle boast (side wall front wall) or high cross court lob runner must keep returning the ball to the front corner

3/4 Court Game

One service area is out of bounds.

volley drill

Players stand on the service line and must attempt to win points by driving the ball past the other person. Attempt to place the ball about sholder height hitting the side wall at the service line. Poorly hit ball ie one that does not make it to the service line or a high lob costs a point

droping, driving, boasting

person at the back drives then does a boast off their own drive. Person at the front drops then drives their drop.

Cross Court, Boast, drop, drop

3 court court drill

Person serving can only hit drives, (or lobs). Person receiving serve can hit drive, boast or straight drop. If a boast occurs then play switches to the other half of the court. Great running drill and teaches patience.

3 Man Drills

Drop Drill

Feeder by each wall along the red line Feeders do not use racquets Feeders feed drops with their hands and runner runs back and forth making drops. Ensuring that the racquet swings through each shot. Stretch out. Don't shuffle. Bend at the waist over the knee.

High Lob Kill Drill

Feeder by each wall along the red line Feeders feed lobs and runner runs back and forth making straight kills. Ensuring that their is cut on the shot. Lead with the but end of the racquet. Stretch out for the shot 1
