‘Cool! I’m always interested in what people think of us.’
‘Isn’t it weird though, I mean, you’re just kids! You have the whole world screaming after you! Don’t you sometimes think, to hell with it all! I want to be normal? I would.’
‘Oh, sometimes. It does get a little overwhelming at times! To say the least, but it’s a ton of fun, and besides, we wouldn’t be doing it if we didn’t enjoy it!’
‘I guess. Oh do you want to sit down?’ I offered him my chair.
‘Thanks.’ He sat down, on MY chair in MY room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
‘So, what kind of stuff are you into?’ he asked me.
We actually talked for ages.
We must have talked for about an hour before Diana came up and told Taylor they had to go.
‘You were really good Peta and it would be a pleasure teaching you. I will contact you soon and make proper arrangements. But, as you would know, I am not in town a lot, so the lessons would be pretty off and on.’
‘Oh, that’s fine! I am really honored you even wanted to hear me at all! Thank you so much!’
‘Not a problem! And we will have to remember about recording that song.’ Taylor told me.
‘Yeah! For sure!’ I agreed.
I followed them downstairs and to the door.
‘Thanks for coming over Diana, and Taylor. You don’t know how much it means to me.’ I told them.
‘Anything for our fans!’ Taylor smiled, touching me lightly on the arm.
I tried not to hyperventilate.
He noticed my surprise and took his hand away stiffly.
I noticed a blush spreading on his cheeks.
‘Well, thanks again for tea. I’ll call you. Thank you for your hospitality Susan, I had a lovely evening.’ Diana smiled.
Diana and Taylor walked out to their car.
‘Oh! Hang on mom!’ Taylor cried as he was getting into the van.
‘Peta! I forgot to give you our number. For obvious reasons it’s not listed!’ he smiled and grabbed a notebook and pen from the van.
Quickly he scribbled down his phone and address.
‘Here. Oh, I put down the dates when we are next home. We’re home for about a month this time, but then we are going to be away for about two. So….’
‘Oh, ok. Thanks.’
‘Taylor!’ Diana called from the van.
‘Well, I’d better go before I get into more trouble! See-ya!’
‘Bye Taylor!’
And he left.
I was left to faint in private.
Mom, dad and Ben over the next few days were hell to live with though, teasing me constantly.
But school got better and a call from Tay was definitely worth it.
He called one night just as I was getting home from ‘Secrets and Lies’ rehearsal, as they were shooting my first show in a few days.
I was just in the door when,
